Dr. Daniel Stanonik LL.M.

Attorney Dr. Daniel Stanonik studied law in Salzburg and Vienna and completed his judicial clerkship at the Innere Stadt District Court and the Vienna Commercial Court. He also completed postgraduate training in information law and legal information (IT law). He founded his own law firm in Vienna in early 2010. He has been a partner at Stanonik Rechtsanwälte since 2018.

Based on his previous experience as a consultant at an IT company, as a legal advisor to the Constitutional Service of the Federal Chancellery in the field of public economic law (including data protection law), and as a legal trainee (including public procurement law, labor law, data protection law, and IT law in general), Attorney Dr. Stanonik has specialized in all areas of IT law (e.g., drafting IT contracts of all kinds, data protection law, domain law, and IT procurement under public procurement law). Attorney Dr. Stanonik also serves as an external data protection officer.

In addition to public procurement law, labor law, IT law, and data protection law, Attorney Dr. Stanonik has, throughout his career, increasingly focused on commercial law in general (e.g., corporate law, insolvency law, gambling law) as well as tenancy and housing law.

Given his work in labor law and his passion for soccer, Dr. Stanonik focuses extensively on sports law and advises players and soccer clubs on their legal matters.

He also brings years of experience in litigation before courts and government agencies.
